This privacy policy describes how StatusBazaar (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the StatusBazaar mobile application (the “App”) and related services.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
- Profile information you provide. Display name, designation, language preference, and any other details you enter while setting up your profile.
- Phone number (optional). If you choose to verify a phone number, we store the verified number to enable phone-based features.
- Status content you create. Templates and status graphics you generate inside the App. These are stored so you can reuse and download them.
- Camera and photo library access. When you choose to add a photo to your profile or to a status template, the App requests permission to use your camera (to take a new photo) or your photo library (to pick an existing one). The App accesses these only at the moment you tap the relevant control, and only the photo you select is uploaded. The App does not access your camera or photo library in the background, and it does not collect any photos you do not explicitly choose.
- Device and usage information. Standard mobile device information (OS version, device model, app version) and anonymized analytics events (screens viewed, buttons tapped) used to understand how the App is used and improve it.
2. How we use information
- To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
- To personalize the App (e.g., language, recommended templates).
- To save and retrieve the status content you create.
- To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve performance.
- To communicate with you about service updates or support requests.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who run our infrastructure: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Google (sign-in), and PostHog (product analytics). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments.
- Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
4. Data retention
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your profile, phone number, and content from our active databases within 30 days. Backups containing this information are rotated out within 90 days.
5. Your rights
- You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- You can request correction of inaccurate information.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing dashlogins@gmail.com.
- You can revoke Google sign-in access at any time from your Google account settings.
6. Children
StatusBazaar is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS for data in transit, encrypted storage for credentials, and access controls on production systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable commercial measures.
8. International users
Our service is operated from India and uses cloud providers that may store data in regions outside your country. By using the App you consent to processing in those regions in accordance with this policy.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
